Thoughts for the New Year

"Be always at War with your vices,
at peace with your neighbors,
and let each New Year find you
a better person."
- Benjamin Franklin

As winter's cold and snow blanket the land... and dreams of paddling fade for another season... I look forward to slowing down and relaxing more at home. While I miss paddling... I think it is a good and fine thing to take stock of where one is in life and to count the many blessings of family and friends. Last year I posted my wishes and hopes for a new year... and this year is no exception. In fact, these are the same wishes from 2011 because I believe them to be timeless.

Mike's 10 Wishes and Hopes for 2012

Thank God for all your blessings
Spend more time with family and friends
Say "I love you" more often
Smile and laugh more
Love yourself and then love others
Build up, don't tear down
Give more of yourself and watch it returned tenfold
Appreciate, respect, and care for nature
Help others
Take life one stroke at a time ;-)

Happy New Year Durhamblogger readers... and may all experience great blessings in the New Year! - Mike, the Durhamblogger :-)
